Who is the EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador?

The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador is a professional or an expert who has a strong network in the field of eco-sustainable tourism (or tourism in general) and has a forceful connection with the EU ECO-TANDEM’s target audience: traditional tourism SMEs (hotels and similar accommodation; holiday and other short-stay accommodation; camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks, and trailer parks; travel agency, tour operator reservation services and related activities), innovative startups, or business entities working in the eco-sustainable field.

The Ambassador’s Role

The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassadors will be raising the awareness around the EU ECO-TANDEM programme from the public, maximising the programme's impact and disseminating the projects’ results. Furthermore, the Ambassadors will be one of the main supporters when engaging with the EU ECO-TANDEM Target Audiences.

The EU ECO TANDEM Ambassador will be active in the following 4 activities:

• Disseminate the EU ECO-TANDEM’s mission, vision, and info about the upcoming events; boosting the programme’s communication performance.
• Nominating 6 candidates in relevant fields (tourism or sustainable fields) for the upcoming Biz Programme.
• At least 3 innovative startups and 3 traditional tourism SMEs
• Sharing the personal testimonial with EU ECO-TANDEM (Optional, if any).
• Promoting the EU ECO-TANDEM programme in at least 2 online or offline events.

Being a part of the EU ECO-TANDEM Network is meaningful, and provides you amazing opportunities and experiences!

• The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassadors would be able to join the EU ECO-TANDEM network, making connections with the experts and the professionals in the EU tourism and innovation sectors.
• EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassadors will be always updated with the latest  news in the field of tourism by receiving EU ECO-TANDEM newsletters and invitations to the EU ECO-TANDEM events.
• While disseminating the EU ECO-TANDEM programme, the Ambassador would also benefit from Europe-wide promotion and visibility. The Ambassador will have a chance to be promoted through the EU ECO-TANDEM social media channels, newsletters and the programme’s website. 

The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador Prize

The EU ECO-TANDEM will award the most active Ambassador on Social Media and who engages more EU tourism SMEs or startups for participating in the programme. The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador Prize will be awarded during the Final Ceremony (around mid-2023).

How does the EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador work?

The Ambassadors will be asked to actively disseminate and promote the programme’s events and activities, specially from January until May 2022.

Each Ambassador is endorsed for a period of 1 year. The Ambassador can express their willingness to continue collaborating after the end of the 1st year and the EU ECO-TANDEM Consortium will prolong their role.

 

The EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador will be requested:

• to do at least 5 social media posts;
• to promote the EU ECO-TANDEM programme  in at least 2 online or offline events. 

How can I be an EU ECO-TANDEM Ambassador?

Step 1. Applicant fills in the online application form on the EU ECO-TANDEM Website

You will fill in the relevant information on the Ambassador application form below and agree your information to be shared through the EU ECO-TANDEM’s social media channels.

Step 2. The EU ECO-TANDEM confirms selected applicants as Ambassadors

Ambassadors will be selected through an objective, transparent process based on applicants’ merits and motivation.

If you are selected as an Ambassador, you will receive a confirmation email containing a Letter of Commitment from the EU ECO-TANDEM. Your name, photo and description will be published on the EU ECO-TANDEM social media and website.

Step 3. Each Ambassador is endorsed for one year, renewable for the same period.

Ambassadors have to carry out the activities and responsibilities mentioned above.
