EU ECO-TANDEM PROGRAMME | 27 October, 2021
The EU ECO-TANDEM Biz Programme, the program allowing SMEs and startups to develop innovative sustainable tourism projects, is about to start.
Participating companies and startups will be able to count not only on the ECO-TANDEM team, but also on a network of experts who will guide and evaluate them along the way.
This network includes the members of the High-Level Advisory Board: 8 international experts in finance, tourism and/or sustainability who will have the important task of evaluating the applications to the program and select the winning TANDEMs at the end of the journey.

Finance
Michaela is the Executive director of the Košice Tourism Board. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, business development, financial growth, and long-term sustainability. She is spearheading the development of Kosice Tourism's strategic direction, guiding the organisation to respond to emerging tourism trends.
Vanda is Head of the Department of Tourism at the Faculty of Economics, Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica. She has twenty years of experience in the research areas of tourism studies. Her main research topics include tourism management, data analysis, corporate social responsibility in the tourism sector, destination management, innovation in tourism. She has sound experience in evaluating students’ projects of sustainable tourism, which makes her the right person to assess our future TANDEMEEs.
Minu I is the founder of RoadsWell Traveled Advisory. She defines herself as an entrepreneurial tourism strategist and project manager. She has many years of experience in destination strategy and tourism product development (adventure, culture & community-based) with a focus on delivering impact and leveraging digital tools.
Tourism & Sustainability
As CEO of Sustainable Travel International, Paloma leads the organisation's global efforts to maximise tourism's contribution to conservation and development in order to protect destinations, preserve natural environments, and improve community well-being. With over 15 years of experience in sustainable tourism and economic development, Paloma has designed and implemented impactful initiatives and projects in 25 nations across the globe.
Edith is the Vice-President of the Executive Board of IGCAT (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism). She is an international expert specializing in sustainable strategic planning of Tourism. She has conducted and managed projects on behalf of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and other international organizations on a wide range of programmes and initiatives.
Ottavia is currently Minister Advisor of Dario Franceschini , Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. She has many years of experience in the development of strategies for sustainable tourism. She is a well-known expert in the Italian tourism scene for her contribution to the drafting of the Strategic Tourism Plan 2017 - 2022 and in elaborating the Guidelines for Tourism for the Strategy of Internal Areas.
Antonella is the former Regional Governor of Tourism and Culture in Turin (2014-2019) and is active now as professional consultant in the tourism field. For 'Fondazione Orsolina 28', an International Center for Dance in the startup phase, she recently provided consultancy for drafting the start up statement of work, envisioning and defining the team organization, building 3 years strategic plan.
